FALCON FEST TAKES FLIGHT
the festival raised £1,000 through the
generosity of those attending.
The event’s success was made possible
by volunteers from across the Battalion,
supported by families, civilian partners and
local businesses. Together, they delivered an
event that strengthened ties with the local
community and showcased the Regiment at
its best.
Falcon Fest highlighted that alongside
operational excellence and demanding
training, 4 RANGER places great importance on
people, families and supporting one another.
We hope to see you there next year.

Nearly 1,000 people attended Falcon Fest at
New Normandy Barracks in June, a charity
music festival organised by the Battalion.
Featuring live music, family entertainment,
food vendors and a strong community spirit,
the event exceeded expectations.
Across two stages, performers entertained
crowds with a variety of music, while
fairground rides and activities kept younger
visitors occupied. Falcon Fest showed what
can be achieved when people come together
with a common purpose.
Created to support the Peregrine Fund,
which assists members of the Ranger
Regiment and their families during hardship,
Tactical Tea Pot
The Tactical Tea Pot at New Normandy Barracks is more
than just a place to grab a drink; it is a morale-boosting
initiative that brings Service Personnel together in the
finest military tradition of standing around with a brew
and solving the world’s problems.
Open every Tuesday and Thursday from 0930 to 1100,
it provides a welcome escape from emails, meetings that
could have been emails, and the daily hunt for paperwork
that was definitely signed last week.
In a military environment, where routine and operational
pressures can be demanding, informal opportunities to
connect are essential. The Tactical Tea Pot offers personnel
a chance to relax, socialise and strengthen relationships.
After all, some of the Army’s greatest challenges have been
solved over a cup of tea. Those that haven’t can usually be
discussed over a second or third cup.
Whether you’re enjoying a breakfast wrap, a bacon bap
or a brew strong enough to support a bridging operation,
the Tactical Tea Pot creates opportunities for conversation,
support and a healthy dose of barracks banter. It is also
one of the few places where “just popping in for five
minutes” might actually mean fifteen.
The initiative also contributes directly to the PRI, with
funds raised from refreshments reinvested into activities,
welfare events and improvements that benefit the wider
SP community. In short, every sausage roll purchased
becomes an investment in morale.
Perhaps most importantly, the Tactical Tea Pot is one
of the few places where rank takes a back seat to the
universal importance of a good brew.
