Ladies TRA Branch
As the widow of Major Paul Harding MiD, who was
killed in action defending the PJCC in Iraq in 2007, Paula
possesses a unique understanding
of both sacrifice and resilience.
She leads the Ladies Branch
with compassion and
determination, ensuring
families remain connected,
supported and recognised
for the indispensable role
they play within the
Regimental family.
Rod completed 24 years’ distinguished military service,
much of it with The Light Infantry, before continuing
his commitment as a Reservist in The
Rifles. Alongside a successful second
career culminating in promotion to
Station Commander with Lancashire
Fire & Rescue Service, Rod now
coordinates the Association’s
programme of national events,
including battlefield studies, veterans’
reunions and Remembrance
commemorations.
Michael Elliott
Senior Rifleman, 4 RIFLES TRA Branch
Having experienced both the demands of operational
service and the realities of transition,
Mike understands the importance of
continued support after military life.
His leadership within the 4 RIFLES
veteran community, together with
his work as a school governor and
qualified Mental Health First Aider,
make him exceptionally well placed
to support fellow Riflemen and their
families.
The Rifleman’s Association is
more than an organisation, it
is a promise. A promise that
no Rifleman is forgotten after
service. A promise that families
remain valued members of
our Regimental community.
And a promise that the values,
traditions and friendships
that have defined generations
of Riflemen will continue to
flourish for generations
yet to come.
Ross Marriott
Senior Rifleman, 1 RIFLES TRA Branch
Following a distinguished career
with 1 RIFLES, Ross settled in
Chepstow where he remains closely
connected to those with whom he
served over three decades. Well
known for his unwavering loyalty,
practical advice and enthusiasm
for Harley-Davidsons, Ross
brings warmth, experience and
enduring camaraderie to the
Association.
